I would hope that everyone has read at least one book that changed their life. Sad it would be indeed to not have read such a book. That is the biggest tragedy for those who cannot read, or those that don’t have access to books. It is my hope that everyone could read at least one book that would inspire them to improve ourselves. One book that would cause them to yearn to see the world. One book that propelled him or her to be a better parent.
I’ve read such books, many of them. Books that have made me cry. Books that have made me laugh. Books that have made me smarter. Books that have propelled me to a deep depression. Books that have lifted me up. And books that have made me want to read more books.
That’s why I am so proud to be associated with a company whose product has such a power to make a difference. A company that works with literacy organizations around the globe. BookWise has put thousands of books into the hands of children around the world. They trade books for guns in order to help people make create a better life for themselves, rather than resorting to a life of violence. Books to create a whole new life.
