As a busy business owner I am constantly looking for tools can save me time and make my work easier. I also find it necessary to recommend software to my fellow business associates and team members, but don’t really feel comfortable asking them to spend a lot of extra money. I am constantly looking for open-source business tools that I upload to our team site for everyone to use. But sometimes I need to just recommend a product that an individual could use for free.
Christina at Bookstrapper.com recently released a listing of some of these tools called: The Poor Entrepreneur’s Toolset: 100 Freebies for Bootstrappers.1 I haven’t checked out all of them, but chances are you will find a couple of tools on Christina’s list to help increase productivity and raise your bottom line. Most of these tools would be beneficial to individual users. Be aware that many of them charge a fee for larger organizations, while some require that you download and install it to your site.
I’ve been looking for system that would allow me to keep track of all the tasks I do as a small business owner, but that wouldn’t cost a lot. Highrise & Freecrm caught my attention and are worth taking a close look at. They allow you to track contacts, prospects, tasks, etc. all in one place.
So take a look. You will no doubt find something that can help you be more business wise.
